Dr. Richard Wilson is a Melbourne native, who graduated with honors from both the University of Florida and the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine . After completing a surgical residency at Forkosh Hospital in Chicago, he returned to Melbourne to join Melbourne Podiatry Associates. His professional interests include foot surgery, sports injuries, and dermatology of the lower extremity.
Dr. Wilson has lectured to professional groups in the USA and internationally. He has authored over 50 scientific publications, including medical journal articles and textbook chapters. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Florida Podiatric Medical Association, and theAmerican Vein and Lymphatic Society. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Wilson and his wife Regina co-founded the nonprofit organization Melbourne Medical Mission, and are involved in medical mission work in Haiti and other developing countries. They are also active in various church ministries, and in spending quality time with their family & friends.
